Equal access, equal dignity, every person, every time.
Last updated: May 2026 · Version 1.0
Our commitment
Lotus Justice & Support Centre CIC is committed to providing equal access to support, free from discrimination, harassment or victimisation. We fully comply with the UK Equality Act 2010, the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Public Sector Equality Duty where it applies to our work with public bodies.
Protected characteristics
How we put this into practice
Harassment, bullying and victimisation
Any form of harassment, bullying or victimisation by or against staff, volunteers or service users will be taken seriously, investigated under our Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, reported to the police.
Reasonable adjustments
If a barrier prevents you from using Lotus, please tell us. We will make reasonable adjustments: different call times, written rather than verbal communication, a quieter meeting space, support from someone you trust, and so on.
Monitoring and review
We review this policy at least every two years, or sooner if the law changes. The Director keeps a confidential log of any equality-related complaints and uses it to improve practice. Anonymised data is reported in the annual Community Interest Statement to the CIC Regulator.
How to raise a concern
If you believe you have been treated unfairly by Lotus, please use our Complaints Procedure or contact contact@lotusjusticesupport.uk. You can also complain to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (equalityhumanrights.com).
