Safe, confidential channels for reporting wrongdoing. No retaliation.
Last updated: May 2026 · Version 1.0
You are protected by law (PIDA) if you report in good faith. Your identity remains confidential.
Purpose
This policy provides staff, volunteers, directors, collaborators and partner professionals with a safe, confidential route to raise serious concerns about wrongdoing at Lotus Justice & Support Centre CIC. It is based on the UK Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (PIDA).
What you can report under this policy
How to raise a concern
Confidentiality and anonymous reports
We will treat your identity as confidential unless you agree to disclosure or we are required by law (e.g. by a court) to reveal it.
You may report anonymously. We will still investigate, although anonymous reports can be more difficult to act on.
What happens after you report
No retaliation
You are protected by law (PIDA) against dismissal, victimisation, harassment or any other detriment for raising a concern in good faith under this policy. Any act of retaliation against a whistleblower will itself be treated as a serious disciplinary matter.
Malicious or false reports
Reports made in good faith are always protected, even if they prove unfounded. Reports known to be false or malicious may be treated as a disciplinary matter.
Have a concern to report?
Write to us confidentially. You don't need proof — just an honest belief that something isn't right.
